The NC Pre-K Program is for:

Children who are 4 years old on or before August 31st
Acceptance is based on need and number of seats available NOT first come first served. NC Pre-K provides high-quality pre-kindergarten classes for at-risk four year old's through the Moore County Schools preschool program.
Children enrolling in the NC Pre-K Program must be determined eligible, and awarded a slot by the Moore County NC Pre-K Committee.

2024-2025 Applications have been processed, and currently all slots are full . If you submit an application, that does not guarantee a slot in one of the locations. Please reach out to Dr. Laura Shipman of Moore County Schools for more information at 910-947-2342.

Will your child turn or be four years old before August 31st, 2024?If so, then your Pre-K Application will be the 24-25 School Year.

You will need to submit copies of the following documents with your application:

child's birth certificate and Social Security or Medicaid card
parent's photo ID
verification of parents' income (2022 or 2023 tax records or a month of pay stubs)
proof of Moore County residency (utility bill or rental agreement)
if applicable, documentation of chronic health conditions, military service, or IEP
